THE BUSINESS PROBLEM

After 20 years as one of London’s top nightclubs, plans to build luxury flats on the Ministry Of Sound’s doorstep threatened to see it closed, so BMB set about convincing the local council that the club needed to stay.

THE IDEA

BMB persuaded top Ministry artists ‘Wretch32’, ‘Example’ and ‘Judge Jules’ to pose for photos with local business owners, whose livelihoods would be threatened by the closure of the club. Thanks to the support of our client, Corona Extra, the ads appeared on Southwark billboards and in London papers, Evening Standard and Metro.

THE RESULTS

On September 11th a petition with over 25,000 signatures was handed in to the council office by Ministry of Sound artist ‘Example’ - resulting in planning permission being refused for the flats. The Ministry of Sound lives on!
